Walking at Tuckton on Tuesday 21st October 2025

We were particularly lucky this afternoon to meet, have a lovely gentle walk along the river bank then towards Hengistbury Head Nature Reserve and enjoy our coffee/tea outside before the rain arrived. Especially after the heavy rain of yesterday, we couldn't believe we missed the downpours of today.

Pleasant weather always adds to our walk and today was no exception. Lots of blue sky above us as we walked towards Wick Fields. Due to some areas having half term, it was a bit busier than usual but nothing to hinder us from admiring the busy river, the beautiful views of Christchurch Priory and just enjoying meeting up, walking and catching up.

We rounded off our afternoon at Tuckton Tea Gardens where we chose to sit outside to enjoy our coffee/tea and choice of delicious cake. Once again, the staff were very helpful ensuring we all got what we wanted, reminding us that by 3pm there was only one piece of Victoria Sponge left. Thank goodness there were quite a few other delicious choices available.😋

As we arrived back at the car park ready to return home, the heavy rain arrived.....and we all counted our blessings to have missed it.

Due to several different reasons, there were fewer of us this afternoon. Hopefully more of us can meet up on our next walk on 4th November.
